FEBRUARY 2020 — In early 2020, as the global pandemic triggered unprecedented lockdowns, factories ceased operations, and public transport came to a standstill, a dedicated team of engineers at Habitat Technology Group stepped forward when the world needed technological solutions the most.

Despite logistics breakdowns and supply chain freezes, Habitat’s engineering team raced against time to develop, test, and manufacture an automated, non-contact AI Facial Recognition Temperature Scanner designed for high-density public transit.

On February 18, 2020 (the 25th day of the first lunar month in the Year of the Rat), Habitat achieved a major milestone: the very first batch of these custom-engineered AI scanners was officially installed and operational on public bus routes in Guangzhou. This deployment provided rapid, non-contact health screening for daily commuters at a critical stage of public health protection.

This early-stage breakthrough paved the way for Habitat’s subsequent anti-epidemic R&D initiatives, earning official grant support from the Macao Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT) and establishing Habitat as a resilient deep-tech partner across the Greater Bay Area.

逆行而上：2020 封城時刻，集中地工程師的科技抗疫初心

2020 年 2 月 — 2020 年年初疫情爆發初期，全世界陷入停擺與封鎖，工廠停工、物流中斷。在極端嚴峻的環境下，集中地科技集團（Habitat）的一群有心工程師選擇逆行而上，夜以繼日地投入科技抗疫解決方案的研發中。

面對零組件短缺與極大研發壓力，集中地團隊克服重重困難，成功開發出專為公共交通高流量場景設計的「人臉識別熱成像測溫儀」。

2020 年 2 月 18 日（庚子年正月廿五），首批設備正式成功安裝至廣州部分公交線路上，為大眾運輸工具提供了第一道無感、高精度的無接觸體溫防線。這也是疫情初期最早落地應用的智慧測溫系統之一。
