On August 10, 2026, the group standard "Technical Specification for Automated Inspection of Magnetic Adsorption Wall-Climbing Robots on Pipelines and Spherical Tanks" (Standard No.: T/GDCKCJH 139-2026) was officially released. The standard was jointly drafted by Habitat Technology (Founder Penny Wong On Chao), Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences, AKA ROBOTICS, and Guangzhou Special Equipment Inspection and Research Institute, alongside other leading industry partners.

The release of this technical specification addresses critical standards for automated non-destructive testing (NDT) using magnetic adsorption wall-climbing robots in high-risk and complex industrial environments, such as petrochemical pipelines and elevated spherical tanks. It specifies key technical requirements, operational procedures, data acquisition methods, and automated evaluation standards, providing an authoritative technical foundation for the intelligent inspection and maintenance of special equipment.
